STREAMLINE HEALTH’S ACCESSANYWARE® RECEIVES ONC-ATCB CERTIFICATION BY DRUMMOND GROUP

STREAMLINE HEALTH’S ACCESSANYWARE® RECEIVES ONC-ATCB CERTIFICATION BY DRUMMOND GROUP

Cincinnati, Ohio – August 30, 2011 — Streamline Health Solutions, Inc. (NasdaqCM: STRM), a leading provider of enterprise and departmental document management solutions and business process workflows for healthcare, announced today that AccessAnyWare v5.1 has received the federal government’s “meaningful use” stamp of approval by earning modular inpatient EHR certification for the following requirements: 170.302 O‐V and 170.306 E, H. The certification criteria that were met include the foundational security requirements, as well as providing patients with an electronic copy of their discharge instructions and recording advance directives. The designation officially deems the electronic health record (EHR) software capable of enabling providers to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Tested and certified under the Drummond Group’s Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the EHR software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

“This certification validates that our solutions can positively impact providers as they move forward with the deployment of enterprise electronic medical record systems,” said Robert Watson, president and chief executive officer of Streamline Health. “Healthcare providers can now leverage our software to not only make significant improvements to patient quality and business processes, but to also achieve meaningful use and qualify for incentive funds under ARRA. We are proud to offer providers the opportunity to truly improve care in their communities while improving their financial results.”

Drummond Group’s ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology—a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.

AccessAnyWare v5.1, which met the requirements for ONC-ATCB EHR certification for the specific criteria previously listed above, is a document management solution that helps hospitals streamline, organize, and consolidate paper-based processes to gain better coordination and organization of patient care. By integrating scanned documents with existing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, it helps to complete the record by capturing, storing, and intelligently distributing unstructured data that exists at all touch points within the patient care continuum.

This EHR Module is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments. Streamline Health, August 25, 2011, AccessAnyWare v5.1, Certification ID number 08252011‐1352‐6.
