The Collabra solution suite was developed to address a critical communication challenge in healthcare facilities: the inability of CDI and coding staff to share data. If a facility does not include physician queries as part of the permanent patient record, coders may find themselves duplicating CDI queries. At the same time, CDI specialists typically have no way to know the final outcome on their cases, and are therefore unable to assess the impact of their documentation improvement efforts.
