PeaceHealth Signs Agreement To Integrate Streamline Health® Solutions' Content Management Solution With EMR in Physician Practices

ATLANTA, Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Streamline Health Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRM), a leading provider of enterprise content management, business analytics, computer assisted coding (CAC), and clinical documentation improvement (CDI) solutions for healthcare providers, today announced that PeaceHealth has signed an agreement to integrate AccessAnyWare™, the enterprise content management solution suite offered by Streamline Health, with the Epic EMR system in its ambulatory clinics.

PeaceHealth is a regional health system serving Oregon, Washington and Alaska, with over 1,551 licensed beds. PeaceHealth has already achieved great success with AccessAnyWare in both hospital and clinic settings across the enterprise with their existing EMR vendor.  As PeaceHealth implements a new ambulatory EMR for its clinic facilities, Streamline Health's content management solution will provide a vital bridge between the old EMR platform, still in use in hospital settings, and the new ambulatory EMR in clinic settings.  Streamline Health's Integration Suite for Epic will allow PeaceHealth providers and caregivers to access the entire repository of patients' scanned documents from either EMR. This integration is critical for providers to be able to fully maximize the use of their EMR system and provide safe and effective patient care across the continuum.

PeaceHealth has added new clinics and hospitals in recent years that had existing content management systems in place prior to their affiliation with the system.  As PeaceHealth moves to a standard ambulatory EMR system-wide, Streamline Health's STRM-Import utility will serve as an integral part in the health system's conversion, archiving, and application decommissioning strategy for legacy content management applications that will no longer be utilized after the new clinics migrate to Epic. Importing historical scanned images to AccessAnyWare from systems that the organization is decommissioning allows PeaceHealth to turn off older systems, reducing maintenance and upgrade requirements, and meet retention and record reproduction requirements at significant cost savings.

"We are confident that the new integration will enable our clinicians to work faster and more efficiently, with all of the necessary data right at their fingertips," said Kent Henriksen, CIO PeaceHealth Medical Group.

"As a loyal client for over seven years, we are pleased that PeaceHealth has decided to integrate AccessAnyWare with Epic in their physician practices," said Robert Watson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Streamline Health. "With full access to all clinical documentation, the task of locating files in different information systems will be eliminated, which will save time, simplify the process and help to coordinate care across multiple providers."
